Dvorak’s joyful overture introduces one of Richard Strauss’s last works, and the concert climaxes with the highly atmospheric symphony by Berlioz.

Brahms – Symphony No.1

The dramatic overture tone-poem by Liszt precedes arguably the most beautiful violin concerto ever written. The concert ends stirringly with Brahms great symphony.
