Membership & Auditions
All members of the orchestra are accomplished musicians, most from the Salisbury area, although some travel a considerable distance to participate.
The Salisbury Symphony Orchestra is a very sociable orchestra with adult members of all ages. There is always the opportunity for a friendly chat over coffee in rehearsal breaks and we generally hold a party at the end of the year.
Rehearsals
The orchestra rehearses at 7:30 pm on Fridays in the term leading up to a concert (see rehearsal schedule) Usually at the:
South Wilts Grammar School
Stratford Road
Salisbury, SP1 3JJ

If you play to at least Grade 8 standard are interested in joining the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra as a playing member, please contact the Honorary Secretary. Please note that players must be of high standard to play the repertoire performed by the orchestra and auditions are arranged with this in mind.
